When David was born I used to call him "My gift from God." Being the youngest, he was the easiest to raise. He is full of fun, vivacious and very much a risk-taker. He and his lovely wife Brigitte have a great and beautiful child, Riley, who is the grandchild of grandchildren. I really think she is a genious but ask any grandfather. He'll tell you.

David is a consummate actor and when he was eight years old he starred as my son in a TV movie I produced called "Happy." He is a very natural actor as a I found out when David was very young. He would come to me complaining about Peter and Michael teasing him, and all the time sobbing. I would reprimand Pete and Michael for anything David said they did. Since he was crying I believed him. Then one day I said, "Let's play an acting game," and I told David to pretend his dog had died. He immediately burst into copious amounts of realistic tears. I had a realization and I asked David, "When you come in complaining about Peter and MIchael, are they real tears or are they these kind of tears that you are using now?" David smiled broadly, followed by a sheepish grin. From that moment on I stopped reprimanding Peter and Michael. We all laugh about it now.

David is now a parent and a very good one at that, I must say. Riley DeStefano (my mother's maiden name) Deluise keeps Brigitte (who is really a great mother) and David on their toes. They are very happy family, who are all expecting another baby. My second grandchild! WOWEE!
